Parade Float Rules & Regulations

Parade Date: Saturday, February 06, 2027 

Line up starts by 12:00 PM; Parade rolls at 1:00 PM 

 

THEME: 

 

1. Float and/or bus judging, and dance team judging will take place during the parade.  Please be “Parade - Ready” as your float must be ready for presentation to the judges. If there will be riders/ walkers in the parade, they must be ready to showcase their talent when approaching the judging booth. The entire float “entry” will be judged.  If not ready when passing the judging booth, the entry will be disqualified from competition. Those placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd place will receive an award and must pick it up from the Judge’s table immediately after the parade.

2. No one may get on or off the float once it has started down the parade route. 

3. No dangling legs over the edge of the float. 

4. All floats must be of the “pull behind” type on a trailer. 

5. There must be a responsible adult present if any children are riding a float or walking in the parade. 

6. No real weapons / firearms allowed, except by law enforcement, on any float entry.

7. Safety first! 

8. Float must be decorated on all four sides.

9. No fire or flame-producing devices are allowed on floats. 

10. Floats will be judged on the following:

•  Originality (Original artwork only please)

•  Workmanship 

•  Overall appearance and adherence to all listed rules.

•  Family friendly/clean music

11.  All 4-wheeler drivers MUST wear a wrist band.  Wrist bands will be given out by Ty Arnold.

12.  4-wheeler drivers must be over the age of 18.   Minors MUST be accompanied by an adult.

13.  A valid driver’s license is REQUIRED of ALL drivers of cars, trucks, and 4-wheelers.

14.  RKOR does not provide alcohol, nor does it condone or permit the consumption of alcohol on floats during the parade.

The parade will roll on February 6, 2027 at 1:00 p.m. Line up starts no later than 12:00 p.m. Lineup location will be assigned. Throwing of candy and festive novelties to the crowd is permitted. Individuals walking the parade route may hand out candy or trinkets. Vulgar throws are not permitted. No unpaid groups or individuals are permitted to participate in the parade.  Suspected parties will be removed from the parade immediately.  Please return this form and entry fee to:
